Laveno - Gemonio

Small town about 8 km from Laveno . This small town, well connected with Laveno, Varese and Milan thanks to the Ferrovia Nord railway, is part of the mountain community of Valcuvia (a large valley with residential areas scattered between beech and chestnut woods).
A place of particular importance in Gemonio is the church of Saint Peter , a Romanesque masterpiece and national monument since 1912 and in the close vicinity (at Casalzuigno) you will find the wonderful "Villa Della Porta Bozzolo" .

Laveno is a pretty town on the Lombardy side of Lake Maggiore; this town can be discovered by savouring the Lake, thanks to the beautiful lakeside promenade offering beautiful views across to the Piedmont side .
You can also take a ride on the gondola cableway that will take you more than 1,000 metres up to enjoy the view of Lake Maggiore and all of the small lakes in the Varese area .
Ferry services connect Laveno with the Piedmont side and the Ferrovia Nord and Ferrovie dello Stato railways offer convenient services to both Milan and Switzerland .

| The accommodation, located in the centre of Laveno, about 700 metres from the old part of the town, consists of a two-roomed flat on the ground floor of a modern block of flats completed in 2007; Laveno Mombello railway station of the Italian Railways is about 300 metres away and the lakeside promenade offering a variety of amenities (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc) is just 700 metres away.
