Orta Armeno:
Orta S. Giulio is a medieval center of rare beauty, picked by various directors to shoot movies and advertisements. Access to the neighbourhood is strictly by foot , amidst elegant structures from the six-seventeenhundreds with the apartments adjecent to garden near the lake. Reaching Piazza Motta, an enclosement with archways on three sides, in the shadows many little shops can be found while the terraces of the coffeehouses are near the water.
The biew is immediately dominated by the straight lines of a renaissance period construction, the Palazzo della Comunità della Riviera (1582), symbol of the old selfgoverning that characterised this community. The fourth side of the square looks over the lake to offer a beautiful view of Isola S. Giulio.
