Omegna is located on the valley floor, between the Strona Valley, one of the valleys carved out of the ancient glaciers of Mount Rosa, and Mount Mottarone, a mountain popular for skiing and walking activities separating Lake Orta from Lake Maggiore. A city of industry and crafts, it is home to many industrial factory shops and outlets, above all in the household goods sector. Alessi, Piazza, Girmi, Lagostina ... the most famous names. The moka espresso coffee percolator, mass-production of pressure cookers and the first pasta machines all began here.

Omegna stands alongside the Nigoglia, the only effluent flowing out to the north from the Alpine lakes!

The city of Omegna also plays host to a world fireworks championship, held during the famous San Vito festival for many years now.

Despite being close to the city centre, this strategic location is also convenient for reaching any of the surrounding areas (Orta San Giulio, Mottarone, Lake Maggiore).
